God's Word brings life. For the Word to grow and reshape the believer, one must do what it says, not simply peer into it. Only by doing the Word will God's promised blessings come. It is possible to be a hearer of the Word of God and not a doer. Doing the Word should never be merely religious or ritualistic, but it springs from a desire to be obedient to what God has said.
