God's Word guarantees His people a successful Christian life in every area. Yet, believers who do not add to their faith virtue, moral excellence and goodness--may not only fail in personal relationships, parenting, and Christian living but eventually lapse into their old sins. The scriptures exhort believers to live in such a way that their choices are made fail-proof by the adding of virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love (2 Peter 1:5-7).
